A Homage to Marina Abramovics’s 1975 work ‘Art Must be Beautiful. Artist must be Beautiful’ created after working with Abramovic on Kaldor Public Arts Project 30 Marina Abramovic in Residence.
Exhibited at Coalesce ARI’s exhibition Homage @ The Food Court ARI.

In the work Gabrielle New explores her own relationship with Abramovic as the ‘Grandmother of Performance Art’ as well as concepts of aesthetics and conceptual art in contemporary art practice.

Both a live and video work were included in the exhibition.
