The Center that I can not find is known to my Unconscious Mind explores the journey of ‘awakening’ consciousness through costume, installation and performance.

A soft sculpture is worn as a headdress , symbolic of the cloud of unconsciousness .  New performs moving slowly around a path which she also drags behind her. Flashes of light from a camera record moments, glimpses of potential, an offer to ‘wake up’.

The performance creates a resonance or memory in the form of installation, Polaroid photographs taken as part of the performance along with the sculpture and red tape on the floor remain in the gallery.
