Lie with Me was a live interactive performance over a week, which explored public and private space, intimacy and vulnerability. Members of the public were invited to lie on a single bed with the artist. An Australian love poem, selected from a collection collated by the artist, was chosen after asking a few personal questions and read to the audience member. The romantic and intimate gesture is subverted by it happening in the public space of the gallery.
Lie with Me was performed daily at RMIT School of Art Gallery exhibition This Must be the Place for Coalesce ARI 2014
