Thing with Feathers: a synonym for Hope represents ideas of dark and light, hope and despair.

Two sets of huge fabric banners hang back-to-back. On one side a black, inverted, hooded being-The Shadow, the other side a white masked figure-Hope.

The suspended images offer the viewer a choice to move symbolically from despair to hope as they walk around them, creating a metaphor for the potential to transform psychological states of being.
