In the Three Colours video triptych Gabrielle New explores the body’s response to different environments through improvised movement and placing a camera on different body parts creating a dreamy surreal work that gives the viewer an odd and unusual perspective of person in relationship to place.
In GREEN the artists responds to the natural environment, a forest, tall trees, earthbound and connected.
RED takes place in a building site by a road and explores development and urban growth, perhaps dreaming of a more utopian future.
BLACK sees the artist dancing in a city lane-way and looks at female vulnerability in this landscape.
