Handle with Care (HwC) is an interactive performance installation offering audience members an opportunity to interact with an artwork and through this experience their own creativity, decisions, choices, feelings and actions.
In HwC I the audience is offered a set of instructions and a collection of labelled objects. One of the objects is a person, the other objects were chosen for their symbolic archetypal implications. In HwC II the objects were labelled ‘person, tools and materials’ .
The audience is asked simply to choose objects and arrange them in the designated space, creating their own installation. The objects generate different associations and narratives when arranged by the viewer. Audience members are confronted with the objectification of the person.
