Who is Belinda Bailey ?
Belinda Bailey is quietly happy to have discovered a medium where her lifetime passions are able to meet, meld and birthed.
Having trained and worked as a dancer and actor since she was a wee girl, Belinda explores all facets of the arts; from the sacred to the profane. She also has managed to develop her keen interest in the shamanic and healing arts, and her work as transpersonal counsellor.
Her personal passion for dance is the thing that moves her and breathes meaning into her life, and she has a drive to help others to find what it is that does the same for them. This, in turn, has lead her to be ecstatic at having found the Butoh medium. Something which allows her to do both, especially in CREATURE where the themes and archetypes touch the primordial part of all involved.
Her interest in dance at this stage is exploring the dissolve between audience and performer, and the authentic growth and healing that is available to both.
